DOG BLOG - GORDER

Gorder is my name, and speed is certainly my game.
I'm not much bigger than a cat, but will and desire makes up for that.
Sometimes I might  look insane but hook me up and you will never complain.
I love to go both right and left, it makes me feel like I am the best.
The big dogs might look down on me, but I'm cool in the first degree.
When I run I am wild and free, cause that's the way I like to be.
I am quite simply one of a kind, that's why most people only see me from behind.

~by Magnus
Gorder is one of his group of 20.

DOG BLOG - GULFSTREAM

Oh hey there. I suppose you want to hear the next dog blog. Ok, ok, its been about two weeks since the last one, too long I know - but a wise man once said "absence makes the blog fan grow fonder". But who am I kidding, that's not true at all, is it? No wise man would ever say that. So sit back, relax, and let me take up 30 more seconds of your time to tell you a little something about a little girl we know and love:
Gulfstream. (of the magnanimous Team Sean)

Do you trust her? Does she trust you?
If the answer to either is no, then you're through.
Nurture the bond with her you must,
if you want to gain her almighty trust.

She does not love you on a whim, she does not love you because you grin.
Meek and shy at first, great she can be if you only quench her thirst:
For your love and affection,
and even more so- your protection.

Look her in the eye and pet her behind the ears,
and with a simple "gee" or "haw", she steers.
Always be happy and smile when she does well,
the emotional fuel will push her to excel.

With other dogs too she needs to grow and cultivate her trust,
so running next to any besides her siblings is a bust.
If this little lady's musher is happy and confident and strong,
she absorbs his energy and easily runs very fast - and very long.

The ups and downs of this emotional and furry friend

are mirrored by the musher's own emotions in the end.

DOG BLOG - FRODO

I am a healthy dog....I am a happy dog. I am a handsome dog. I think there is something incredible about running fast. But I don't understand the least thing about going slow, and I don't know for certain what part of me makes me so fast. I am not having any treatment for it, and never have had, although I have a great respect for malamutes and slow mushers. I am besides extremely superstitious, if only in having such respect for speed. (I am educated enough not to be fast, but fast I am.) No, I refuse going slow out of spite. This is something you will probably not understand. Well, I understand it. My name is Frodo, and I am loud and frisky and powerful and some would even say insane and I will chase your team down and pass you so watch out.

DOG BLOG - EMMA

EMMA
Take a good look at her. She is cute. She is soft and furry. She turns her head sideways, looks at you (intensely) with one of those deep inquisitive stares that is sure to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and she steals your heart but in a matter of moments. Emma is her name. Don't be fooled by this femme fatale too fast and furiously. She is smarter than you are. Hesitate she will not to summon her superior intellect. No house will go unflipped; No hill will be conquered unloped; No way no how no sir no maam!

DOG BLOG - BORIS

Boris:
Dark as the night, his strong, sleek physique and more importantly good looks and shiny coat give young eager Boris many reasons to gloat. Son to Philly, Boris spent his first few years observing and taking notes on the big boys, all the while daydreaming of the day he would get to dance the long dance on the snow himself. With Team Sean lies his big chance. He is a formidable power, sinews bursting from every pore, the fire deep within his soul burns hot, and Boris knows that he is ready. He has a great story to tell you, if you only know how to listen.

DOG BLOG - CHALLENGER & DORI

Dori and Challenger are Happy Trails Dogs in Sean's training group.  Here's what he has to say about them:

CHALLENGER
Challenger, brother to Gulfstream and Jumbo, is named after the business class jet of the international businessman. The Challenger jet was designed to have a greater range and has been used in special missions with select government agencies, notably the Royal Danish Air Force. Challenger the dog was also intended for greater range and special missions, but his missions are with the Happy Trails Voluntary Service Field Organization, or HTVSFO (ht-vss-FOW). Challenger enthusiastically joined as soon as he was of legal age, and holds the current rank of Team Dog and Hot Dog Chaser. His specialty is the self-harness.

DORI

Dori, after Ellen Degeneres' character in the modern classic Finding Nemo, would like you to join her in singing the following adaptation to everybodys favorite: Just Keep Swimming.

Hey Mr Grump Gills
You know what you gotta do when life gets you down?
Just keep running
Just keep running
Just keep running running running
What do we do we run, run, run
OH HO HO How I love to run
When you WAAAAAANNTTT to run you want to run!
